Bradesco, one of the largest banks in Brazil, partnered with Fujitsu to develop South America’s first biometric ATM security solution. See how our pioneering palmvein scanner technology and dedicated onsite support helped implement the solution in over 35,000 ATMs across the country. As a result, Bradesco was able to successfully provide over 70 million customers instant and secure access to their accounts, while reducing fraud related costs to almost zero.

K computer was ranked No.1 among the World’s TOP500 Supercomputers in June and November 2011.

The K computer, jointly developed by RIKEN and Fujitsu, is part of the HighPerformance Computing Infrastructure (HPCI) initiative led by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). “K” comes from the Japanese Kanji letter “Kei” which means ten peta or 10 to the 16th power. The logo for the K computer based on the Japanese character for Kei, which expresses a large gateway, and it is hoped that the system will be a new gateway to computational science.

The art of Fujitsu management

Times like these require change, even from industry leaders. Through a series of interviews with Fujitsu’s executive leaders in Japan, London Business School’s “Business Strategy Review” took a close look inside Fujitsu, exploring its way of leading change and the art of Fujitsu management.
